The fall tuna bite is on!

After Thursday’s dismall o for o trip, and after watching some other boats catch fish around me, I was eager to get out there on Friday. I hate fishing on the day of the Full Moon but the weather forced me to go. Friday we fished up north of the new inlet and the action was great. We went 3 for 4 and pulled the hook on a bigger fish. All three fish were on splash bars, blk, rbw, and grn\brwn. Two big groups of fish and lots of action. The fall bite has begun! Good luck. Back out there in the am. Well the fall run is on in Chatham. We had another great day of school tuna trolling out east of Chatham yesterday. We ended up going 2 for 5 with a 53incher in the box and a 57incher T&R. Missed three other solid bites. Marked lots of fish on the machine too. It seems the fishing has picked up and almost every boat out there yesterday got bites on the troll. The splash bars in grn\brn, rainbow, and black seem to be the hot ones. I am filming this week with a crew from CA. who are doing a documentary on bluefin tuna and we will be filming with Dr. Molly and the “Tag-A-Tiny” team. I hope the wind dies down a little because it looks a bit rough for the morning. We will have to see, Wed. looks better and they are here for two days. I still have some openings so if you want to get in on this action give the shop a call. This Sat. Oct.2nd is open. Good luck. Capt. Eric
